Refund Policy

There will be a $25.00 cancellation fee regardless of when you register for the course. Your book can be returned to our office providing it has not been opened. If your book has been opened the price will be deducted from your refund. Shipping charges for materials sent are non-refundable.

You can transfer one time at no charge, providing you reschedule prior to 24 hours of your course date. It is up to the discretion of the Colorado CPR Association if you will be required to pay the $25 transfer fee if you call to transfer within 24 hours of your scheduled course date. Each additional transfer after the first complimentary transfer is $25. Transfer fees are non-refundable.

If you do not show on your scheduled course date the funds will not be refunded as the seat reserved for you could have been utilized to instruct another student.

As of April 26, 2010
- * EMS treats about 300,000 victims of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year in the U.S.
- * Less than eight percent of people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital survive.
- * Less than one-third of out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest victims receive bystander CPR.
- * Effective bystander CPR, provided immediately after sudden cardiac arrest, can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival.
- * Unless CPR and defibrillation are provided within minutes of collapse, few attempts at resuscitation are successful.
- * Even if CPR is performed, defibrillation with an AED is required to stop the abnormal rhythm and restore a normal heart rhythm.
- * About 5,900 children 18 years old and under suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrest each year.
- * The incidence of out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest in high school athletes ranges from .28 to 1 death per 100,000 high school athletes annually in the U.S.

Instructor Certification
