This option is for students who have completed an online training course (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or Heartsaver) through the American Heart Association. In order to complete the online course, a key is needed. Please contact the office to purchase a key code at which time you will also pay for the skills check off. The total cost for the key code and skills check off is $65. After purchasing the key, you will be able to enter the code in the “Activate a Key” section on the American Heart Association’s website at www.onlineaha.org.
We strongly recommend this option only for students who have completed a course in the past.
Once you have completed Part 1 of the online course you will need to print the certificate and contact the office to schedule a skills check off that is completed in approximately 30 – 40 minutes.
Upon successful completion of the skills check off you will receive your American Heart Association card before leaving.
This is a two year certification.
